Bad Blogger again

Not blogged in a couple of weeks...naughty girl.. I keep forgetting to do it although I haven't been making any cards as I have been trying to add stuff to my e-bay shop..

Anyway I have now made a couple of cards for my great niece and great nephew who have their birthday's at the end of this week.

The first card was done using a Forever friends decoupage or pyramarge.. the pqapers were from my stash and I have added a greeting and somes gems to finish it off.

For this card I have stamped the image of the bear from the Daisy & Dandelion range and coloured it using Promarker pens. My first attempt. Not done much shading as I can't do that well but I was very pleased with the way it came out. I cut it out uing a nestie. The papers are from the same range. The number and names have been cut using the Olivia alphabet for the cuttlebug. I have just aded a couple of gems to finish it off.

And yet another anniversary card

Another anniversary card made for my sister and brother in law. I'm in a bit of a pink mood at the moment... don'y know why as I don't normally do pink!
The card is a 5x7 plain whicte card. The backing papers were from my stash.. I have run the pink papers through the cuttlebug using the heart embossing folder. The papers were edged using Martha Stewart punch which I purchased in the States along with 1 or 2 others..
The rose paper was from the Forever Friends kit that I have used previously. The greeting was printed on the lap top and then cut using a nestie. I have them just added some pink pearl gems and a flower..

Anniversary card for a friend

I made this card for my oldest friend's 1st wedding anniversary which is on Friday.
The card is an A5 card. The papers and the decoupage image was from a Forever Friends kit that I bought.
The image is decoupaged and placed on a nestie (wish I had cuttlebugged the nesties mount first but never mind). The backing papers are from the kit.
The greeting was printed from the laptop and then cut with a nestie and put through the cuttlebug using the swiss dots folder. I have then added some coloured pearls.

Ghostbuster or not.....

A bit of a story.... now those of you that know me, know that hubby is a police inspector for the BTP and his office is up at Brighton Railway Station. The building where he works is very old as is the Railway Station and people have often joked about there being a ghost in the office. One of the officers was doing a late shift in the office and saw the ghost and to say it put the wind up him is is an understatement. As you can imagine, all the other officers ribbed him, although the majority of them are scared as well! They named the ghost 'Geoff' and is now a constant conversation topic.

Well the office in question is now leaving for another job (not due to Geoff!!) and my hubby and friend asked me to design a card on the ghost theme! I decided I would go the Ghostbuster route. I googled GhostBusters and came up with the costume they wore and I interchanged the head of the model with Ahmet's (the office leaving) and printed this directly onto the card. I then downloded a ghosty font and used that to say 'Sorry you are leaving'. The font is RMGhost4. I then added a couple of ghostbuster emblems. The result is as follows.

I then wanted to come up with a little ditty for the inside of the card. I wanted to include Geoff. Not being a poet or very good at this, this is what I came up with. Not bad I thought. For those of you that can't read it it says ' Without you the in the office, it will be quiet and bare, And poor old Geoff will have no one to scare'

I do hope that he likes it!!!

Some new cards-

All the following cards have been made from backing papers and images which came from Creative Cardmaking Magazine. I saw the images on the front cover and knew I had to have them and make the cards. The images are all from Debbie Moore.
The card below is a DL card. All I have done is added gems and sparkles glitter. The image has been placed using 3d foam to give it a raised appearance, as has the greeting.

The card below is a gatefold card. The image and greeting have been matted onto black card. I have added gems and sparkles glitter.

The card below is an A5 card. apart from gems and sparkles I have added daisy flower punches with gem centers. The image again is placed on 3d foam pads to raise it up.

This was mt first easel card. The card size is A5. I have added black card to mount the panels, black gems and flowers cut from a punch with gem centers. Black spotty dotty ribbon has also been added.
