Men's Cards

Men's cards again. Yuck!! But in my stash I found these card decoupage papers. Think they came from    La Pashe. Made them up and over the last couple of days have made them into cards. Papers are all from Forever Friends paper pack that I have. Buttons are from my stash. Greetings are from Craftwork cards. Will come in handy as I have quite a few male birthdays coming up!!

The week with my boy..

This past week we have had Leon staying with us while his Mummy & Daddy went on a short break to the Isle of Wight so no cards from me!

We had a fun week and he was very good. I have a few more grey hairs and I was sleep deprived by Friday - 4am - 6am awaking...but I really enjoyed having him and really missed him when he went back. Here are a few pictures from the week.

I decided to walk him round to the park one afternoon. It took an hour to get there - the park is only round the corner- but after we had stopped, examined every gate, every bush etc, we eventually got there :-)

Eating chocolate cake - mmmmmm! Time for a hair cut too!!

Watching Thomas the Tank Engine at 6am in the morning.

Morning nap time

Playing in the park.

Cards for the men

Here are the first of the men's/boys cards I have to make for July and August. They are for a friend's oldest son and my brother in law.

This card was made from a topper from the Forever Friends Retro Collection 'The Good Life'. Paper comes from a A5 paper pack from the same collection. Card is Bazzill Bling, greeting from Craftwork cards and buttons from my stash.

This is a card for my brother in law. The paper is from the same paper pack as above, Card is Bazzill bling. The topper is from Me to You range of toppers that I got from Create & Craft. The greeting was also from the same set.

2 cards for 2 great nieces.

It's Saturday and another damp dull day - where is the sun?? The good thing about the rain is that I can spend more time in my craft room. July sees 2 of my great nieces birthdays and here are the cards that I have made for them.

This is for the youngest of the sisters. I have used Tatty Ted 'Me to You' hand finished topper. The backing paper is from 'Me to you - Especially for You' 6x6 paper pack. The backing card is Bazzill bling, flower comes from my stash. Greeting is from Craftwork Cards matted on scalloped oval cut with Stampin Up punch. The ribbon is from Create & Craft Scalloped edge ribbon.

This card is from Forever Friends Elements Hand crafted toppers. The card blank is also from the same range. A very quick and easy card to make.

Busy Month with Birthdays

July is a busy month for birthdays as is August. I have Leon all next week so won't be doing much cardmaking so thought I had better get making all the cards for July. Luckily I have been able to use some previous cards that I made for some of the birthdays but not all. Here is the first of the cards.

This is for one of my great nephew's birthday. I have used a topper from Tatty Ted as is the greeting and the corners. they all come from a package I recently bought off of Create & Craft.  (I know I said I wasn't going to be buying anything but this was such a good deal!!) The papers were from a 'Me to You' 6x6 paper pack from my stash.

I have been making a few cards recently using tatty Ted and Forever Friend's bear.

Last of the AM Cards

Here are the last 2 cards that I made up at Appleby Magna from stash that people brought with them to use.

The image on this card is the same as Cathy's shoebox card. I loved the little mouse stamp so much that I stamped a few images and coloured them in with my promarkers. He is so cute! The backing paper was from left overs that I had from a previous card. The stamped greeting was from a set that Pam brought with her I think.

This card was made from a decoupage sheet that Toni brought with her. The paper was from some that I had left over. The greeting stamp was from the stampin up set that Greta had. The ribbon I got from Kim.
The gems were plain ones that I coloured using promarkers.

Build a Blossom Cards

I took some LA Pashe Build a Blossom decoupage sheets up to AM with me to do if I got bored. I did one sheet of anemones and here are the cards I made.

The card blanks were some that Debs had brought with her and were really nice as the were embossed and the backing papers were from sheets that Pam had brought up. The first stamp was mine as used in previous cards.

The stamps used on the yellow and blue cards were stampin up stamps that belonged to Greta. I was really pleased with the way these come out as they were clean & simple.

Pam's Shoebox Project

Feeling a bit worn out at the moment as I did the Race for Life today. I don't do running so my friend and I walked the 5km course. We did it in just over an hour. Longer than would normally take but we have had bad rain over the last few days and the ground was very wet and muddy in places. It gives me a sense of achievement knowing that I can complete this and do my bit for Cancer Research.

Right now back to the cards from AM. Pam has not been crafting for sometime now but obviously wanted to bring us something to do, so for her project she brought a box of mixed papers, stamps and flowers. She also brought some card sketches for us to follow. I never followed the sketches but this is what i came up with.

This card was made from a 12 x 12 piece of paper. I used a quarter of the sheet and stuck it onto the card blank. I then decoupaged the roses using a duplicate sheet of the same paper, The greeting was a stamp from Lilly of the Valley.

This card was made with the same piece of paper used on the card above. I just used 2 of the corners and stuck them on the card. The greeting stamp is one of mine which I love. I made the card candy myself by punching little circles and embossing them.

This was used from a 12 x 12 paper. The bears and the border were cut from the sheet and just stuck to the card blank. The roses also come from the same sheet. the greeting stamp as before is from LOTV. The scalloped circle was cut from the same paper .
