They Are Now All Finished...

..the cards from Clair's Birthday Workshop a few years ago. Not sure if they are finished how Clair wanted them to be but they are finished. :-). Think most of the stamps etc were Stampin Up. The bear image is of course Lily of The Valley's James. I have added some gems to them.

Oyster Stamps Workshop

On the Saturday before I went away I attended a workshop run by Oyster Stamps down in West Wittering with Pam. The demonstrator was Martine Smith, a lovely lady and very talented.

We made 2 cards during the day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Loved the morning card. The frame is made from Deep Red Vector Flourish Set. I love the black and white cards :-)

The afternoon card was a bit more complex. The flowers are from Heartfelt Creations dies. They were inked/coloured using inkpads and daubers. Never really got into making flowers and I thought I had messed these up but when they were put together I was quite pleased on how they turned out.

Neither of the cards were finished on the day through choice as I wanted to mount mine onto card blanks and I have also made a box for the flower one.

Although we enjoyed the class there was a lot of sitting around doing nothing (although Pam and I did plenty of chatting) so we will not be doing this one again. A lot for money for 2 cards made that could have been down in a couple of hours. Still you live and learn, done something that I probably wouldn't have done and probably won't again :-).

A beautiful Week Away...

Catch up on the last week. Hubby and I got back yesterday from a lovely week away on the Isle of Wight. Yes it was there again :-). Weather was lovely all bare very blustery most of the week but a lovely time was had. We did lots of walking, our two favourite walks are from Shanklin to Sandown along the seafront. It takes you right along the beach around Sandown Bay. Beautiful! The second walk is a new favourite. Over to Alum bay, park the car. Walk up to the Needles Battery for a pit stop at the Battery Tea-shop - best cream teas and sandwiches! Then up on Tennyson Down and along the downs.

We are back over there in April to take my Grandson for a few days. Don't think that one will be as relaxing. :-)

The Needles - a fantastic sight.

What a view while having a cream tea :-)

Another Box Frame

Not had much chance recently to be up in my craft room but I did get up there the other day for 1/2 hour or so. Didn't have time to do a card but I did do this picture to place in a box frame.

The image is from Craftwork Cards and I have put glittery centres on the flowers. The box frame is approximately 3" by 3". I will be getting some more of these frames and doing a few more like this to put in my Etsy shop.

A Crafty Clear Out

Haven't been making many cards recently as I am in the process of clearing out some craft stuff and trying to sell what I don't want anymore. There is quite a bit :-). If you want to go have a look what I am selling I have it on my craft page on facebook here .

Looking through my stuff I did find these cross stitch letters that I did some years back. I am thinking of getting back to doing some more cross stitch. I must go and hunt out my stuff. :-)

I have bought some frames and I think they look quite good. :-)

Not a card....

Have been trying to get ahead of myself and get all the cards ready for this month. Luckily what with the workshop cards I have I don't need to make any this month apart from a couple of anniversary cards :-)

At the moment I have lots of ideas going through my head and I really need to get my butt into gear and get them made into the flesh. One of the things is to set up an Etsy shop to sell all these ideas once I have done them. I have got one up and running. Not much on there at the moment just a few bits I want to sell as also having a crafty clear out, but hopefully as I make things I think are ok to sell then I will add them and hopefully make a little bot of money. The link is here if you fancy a little look.

Not a card but I do have one of those ideas to show you. A framed flower for my mother in law for Mother's Day. The image is a Woodware stamp as is the saying and I have used card candy to decorate it, coloured the leaves with promarkers and added a bow. It has been put in a 6x6 box frame.
Hopefully she will like it!
